A lot of hoopla surrounding the top QB in this year’s NFL draft. A name picking up steam, and could move up more as the draft nears, is former Arkansas QB Tyler Wilson. Let’s take a look.

Strengths
Great character and toughness at Arkansas behind a suspect offensive line and the Bobby Petrino scandal. He has short throw accuracy. Can take a hit in the pocket and still deliver the throw. Very durable throughout his career. When he sets his feet and steps into his throws, his mechanics are great.
Weaknesses
60% career accuracy. Wilson makes a couple dangerous throws per game and when he does, he usually throws off-balance. Not a good sign. He doesn’t progress through his reads every play and can telegraph passes. Lacks deep ball accuracy. Wilson also doesn’t have prototypical size for a QB but neither does Drew Brees. He struggles a bit with throws on the run. He doesn’t have a great arm and his hand size has reportedly come into question(seriously!).
Comparable Player: Matt Flynn
Rumored Team Interest: I haven’t read or heard any rumored team interest at this point.
